Webcomics
Comics have been around for years and some could argue that they have had a large influence on fantasy and sci-fi books in the last 80 years. Someone like Neil Gaiman has had prolific success in both comics (graphic novels these days) and the fantasy book genre.

As the digital age slowly encompasses all, webcomics are becoming more and more frequent. There are comics that are short strips like Garfield that are self contained and sometimes have very loose links to each other, but more and more writers these days are turning to longer story lines and turning them into Graphic Novels.
These webcomics with long story arcs are the ones that really appeal to me. It’s like reading a novel but I don’t have to commit myself for long periods of time to read them, as some weeks I am just really busy (as some of you are as well). However, one down side is that because the authors are writing page by page updating week by week interesting parts of the story can be slow to come. Some authors feel the pressure to make the updates too frequent, which leads to burn out or make the pages too action packed without depth.
Last Blood was a personal favourite of mine before the author but was picked up for a potential movie script and it hasn’t been updated for a year and a half now. Has the author fallen to the money trap and now has no movie and no comic? I hope it is a no to both but signs are not great.
Here are another 3 webcomics that are very fantasy related (although all related to dnd in some way), and still has continuous updating.
Obviously my taste isn’t the same for everyone so here is a recently list of great webcomics. Some are short strips and some have a longer story arcs. Spend some sleepless nights going through them. Enjoy.
